If we read about successful people living in present, we find the two significant qualities which are common among them.
First – They accept their weaknesses.
Second – They keep themselves a little isolated from the crowd.
If you ever see somebody not stable, I mean they do not seem to have peace of mind, then you can easily judge that they are still living in the time slots.
These time slots could be either from the past or the future to come.
Connection of Past-Present-Future With Sprituality.
Have you noticed one thing?
Almost everyone goes to religious places as per the religion they follow, but still, their mind remains disturbed and keeps wandering.
It is often seen that even people with religious inclinations do not get peace at all or at least by ease.
Why is this so?
Let me tell you.
Because they do not have control over their mind, their mind does not stay in one place. It always keeps rambling.
Now, your next question would be, where does the mind ramble?
Friends,
The mind often gets lost in the memories of the past and goes away.
Many times, the mind gets lost in the worries of the future.
It is believed that both the past and the future are very long.
They have no end. One can think about the past and the future as much as they can.
The Duration of The Present
But do you know about the duration of the present?
How long is it?
Do you have the answer to this?
Friends, the duration of the present is just a moment, a moment.
That is, the breath we are taking is the present.
Because what we have just exhaled is out of our reach now, we do not have any hold of it anymore, and the breath we are going to inhale next is also away from our reach.
We are not sure about it until it passes through our lungs.
So, what is in my control?
And the answer is that the only breath I am taking right now is in my control.
I have access to that much only. I can use only the inhaling process my body is going through at the moment.
Now it depends on me how I use that breath.
Now you will say, What can be done in one breath?
We cannot build a house or set up a business in one breath.
It is not possible to support your family or see your childeren growing in one breath.
Then what can we do in one breath? What is the use of one breath?
Miracle of Living In A Moment
But friends,
If you are looking for worldly pleasures, then, of course, one breath is instant, and an instant is not logically enough to fulfill your dreams.
But on the other hand, for those who are out there on their spiritual journeys, one breath could be more than enough for them.
Do you know that all the great mantras of the world are fulfilled in one breath?
It takes only a moment to pronounce them, to say it out of your mouth.
If a room has been dark and closed for 50 years, will it take 50 years to illuminate it?
No.
Only one moment is enough to remove darkness from that room.
All we have to do is to light a lamp or put a light in that room.
Isn’t it?
Just like that, the sins of our lives can be erased in a moment.
Why We Are Not Content Spritualy
You must have seen that some people pray daily, and also chanting the name of God, but still, they are not happy in their life; they are not satisfied. Why?

Because chanting the name of the Supreme Being millions of times will not wash away even one of our sins, and on the other hand, chanting the name of the Supreme Being just once will wash away millions of our sins.
You might be confused by the above said statement.
Let me explain.
Friends,
It does not require any big effort to chant God’s name millions of times, whereas it is challenging to intonate his name once from the core of our hearts.
It is only possible when our tongue murmur and our mind concentrate on listening to what we are speaking about.
And that will happen when our tongue takes the name of the Supreme Being, and our mind concentrates on listening to it.
Now, you all must be doubting why I said that it is tough to pray with a devoted heart and concentrated mind.
A Simple Technique
Why can’t this happen with ease, and why can’t our mind concentrate?
There is a reason for this, too.
As I told you earlier, our mind keeps wandering in the memories of the past and the worries of the future.
I know you all will agree to this, but do you know why?
Why do most of us keep on thinking about the past that has gone and the future that has yet to happen?
Because friends,
Some happiness we got in the past leaves its mark forever, and we keep thinking about it and cherish those beautiful moments we had.
Moreover, the sorrows we got in the past also leave scars that we usually think about and feel sad.
Those happiness and sorrows of the past are remembered. They either bring smiles to our faces or tears into our eyes.
Our mind often goes into the memories of the happiness and sorrows of the past.
Apart from this, our mind often goes into the worries of the future—something which is yet to appear.
That the happiness we have got should not be snatched away just like the happiness we got in the past that has gone away.
Many of us are scared because we do not want to lose in the future what we have today with us in the present.
This worry often doesn’t let the mind settle down.
Reasons For Our Worries
But friends, Let me tell you something.
We should only worry if something untoward is going to happen.
Before proceeding further I want to add one more factual statement here.
Worries are often due to two reasons.
First – When we think that this should not happen to us. Whatever happened to the world is ok and fair, but it should never occur to me.
Second – We often get worried when we expect a lot about something that must happen to us.
I want it to happen exactly like this.
But the worry is, what if it does not happen as per my wish?
And friends, these are the two biggest reasons for worry.
If we are young today, then one day old age will definitely come. Then why worry? And what to worry about?
This one example is enough to make you understand that we cannot control, stop, or alter what has happened and what is going to happen.
But we indeed can control or manage this very moment.
Conclusion
Now, the next and the last question is: How will this worry go away?
The simplest and most accurate way for this is that we have to bring our minds to the present.
And what is the present?
One Moment!
So friends, Let’s start enjoying the very moment.
